In bowling a gutter can refer to a couple different things neither of which benefit you the bowler.
Bowling gutter strike.
If you miss change your starting position by moving in the direction of your miss which will help keep your ball dead on.
A strike is worth 10 plus the value of your next two rolls.
Say you throw a strike in the first frame.
A shot that lands in the gutter also known as a gutter ball resulting in a score of zero.
Touka is an ordinary high school girl who loves bowling.
At best your next two shots will be strikes and the frame will be worth 30 10 10 10.
At a minimum your score for a frame in which you throw a strike will be 10 10 0 0.
The trench on either side of a bowling lane that must be avoided for a ball to knock down any pins.
The only issue is that if anybody watches her bowl she becomes extremely conscious of her body and plays poorly.
