Can anyone here tell how much is it cost to replace the shutter for canon 6d from canon serivce.

My bill for the shutter replacement this time on my 5d mk iii was 219 00 which to me is quite cheap for the peace of mind it brings. Knowing that a replacement shutter costs only 90 dunphy decided to have a go at it himself. What should i expect. A quick check of the repair shop gave dunphy a quote of 500 to get it fixed.

As far as i know canon automatically replaces the shutter once the estimated shutter life is exceeded.
