Carpet installers have to bring large rolls of carpet into your home 12 foot rolls minimize seams in your room not small paint cans or brushes.
Carpet layers should be the very last trade on the job.
I install the flooring first then trim tight to it.
Generally speaking you want to install the trim first and the carpet second.
If you re replacing carpet first before painting it will be easier for the flooring company.
Second drywall would wick up moisture from flooded floors or carpet.
If you care about doing quality work and not wasting time you paint the walls then install the hard floors cabinetry doors and trim.
However since there may be instances where you re just replacing trim but leaving carpet or have a reason to do the carpet first i ll give instructions for both methods.
They also may need the carpet to roll up the edges of the room in order to properly trim it to size.
Personally i think it looks better with the baseboards and trim in first especially upon the second time carpet is installed because the installers don t pull the trim and get in close when they pull old carpet and put in new.
